Doppelgänger

The installation Doppelgänger re-contextualizes sound of the social space in to an immersive metal construction. Just as in Stanley Kubrick's film 2001: A Space Odyssey, monoliths plays a central role. But where the monoliths in the film stand as signs of advanced extraterrestrial technologies and advances, the monoliths have a slightly different function and form in the installation, they appear in the form of sound. These Monoliths become the acoustic double-goers of the social space and appears to be a disclosure of the real. The Acoustic space are stripped of its outer shell and displays its inner structures. A new parallel version of this room appears.

The exhibition is produced by Lydgalleriet in collaboration with Bergen Kunsthall.
